‘There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. ‘
I John 4:18
The Love spoken of in this verse is the love of the cross.
God the Father loved mankind so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, in the flesh to shed His precious blood and die on the cross for our sins.
Was buried in the ground and rose three days later never to die again; “The Gospel” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
‘Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, ‘
I Corinthians 15:1-4
Those who believe that Christ died for their sins, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later; HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR. Because the moment we believed the gospel by faith alone, God “Justified” us!
It is just as we have never sinned
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ
Romans 5:1
No Fear
Beloved, have no fear. Because of your faith in what Jesus Christ accomplished at the cross, God justified you. Therefore you have peace with God. And if God is for us, who can be against us? NO ONE!
