The pro-life billboards declare “Black Preborn Lives Matter” and Students for Life of America, Students for Life Action, the Frederick Douglass Foundation, and Human Coalition Action are leading the awareness campaign.
“Planned Parenthood aborts 360 Blacks every day,” the billboards state. “Help us.” According to the pro-life organizations, the billboards are located in Philadelphia, Detroit, Phoenix, Atlanta and Charlotte. They expect to add more in other cities in the coming weeks. The Rev. Dean Nelson, chairman of The Frederick Douglass Foundation and executive director of Human Coalition Action, said they want to challenge Planned Parenthood “to own up to their racist past, particularly its founder, Margaret Sanger,” One News Now reports. “She wrote in a letter to Clarence Gamble in 1939 exclaiming that ‘we don’t want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population,’” Nelson told the news outlet. “In addition, we’re challenging Planned Parenthood to own up to their racist present, because we know that they still target minority populations, as it has been well documented by several organizations … that nearly 80 percent of their surgical abortion facilities are within walking distance of Black and Latino neighborhoods.” REACH PRO-LIFE PEOPLE WORLDWIDE!
