Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts senator and 2020 presidential candidate, defended infanticide Monday on Twitter.
The pro-abortion Democrat was one of 44 U.S. Senators who voted to block the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. The bill requires basic medical care for babies who are born alive after botched abortions.
“Women and their doctors should decide what’s best for their health – not the @SenateGOP,” Warren wrote Monday night in defense of her vote.
Republican politicians just tried (and failed) again to score political points at the expense of women. Enough.
Women and their doctors should decide what’s best for their health – not the @SenateGOP.

Warren and the rest of her fellow pro-abortion Democrats have been misleading the public about the legislation. The bill has nothing to do with women’s health and everything to do with the health of newborn infants. It simply requires that abortionists provide the same basic medical care to an infant who survives abortion that doctors would to any other baby born at the same stage of pregnancy.
Fortunately, many people are not buying Warren’s claims. Her tweet met with strong backlash, including from people who identify as pro-choice on abortion:
Or it could be viewed as Democrat politicians scored points at the expense of living, breathing babies.

In the Old Testament babies were sacrificed to the god Molech. In modern America they are sacrificed to the gods of convenience and personal rights. This will not end well.

I read the bill, it pertained to babies born alive. Babies no longer in, or in anyway connected to, the woman. I don’t care how pro-choice you are, if you can’t see it you must be blinded by your ideology.
Telling a doctor to keep the patient alive, if possible, is common sense.

I’m center-left and pro-choice. And I can’t believe Democrats are pushing this.

If the child has been born, then the woman’s health is no longer an issue. The child’s health is an issue at that point. Choosing to allow that child to die or outright killing it isn’t health care; it’s infanticide.

Infanticide is women’s health now, too?

This is not at the expense of women. It’s at the expense of an innocent baby. At this point, it seems it’s for shock value. May God have mercy on your souls

Every single Democrat in the Senate who is running for president voted against the bill, including Warren, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Amy Klobuchar.
