A pro-life organization reported another assault and vandalism at the University of Wisconsin at Madison this year, the latest in a growing string of attacks against pro-life advocates.
A video posted by Created Equal this week shows a woman spray-painting several of the pro-life group’s signs during an outreach April 22 at the university. When one of the pro-life advocates tries to stop her, she pushes him and yells profanities at the group before driving away.
The group said police later arrested the woman, identified as Sasha Timofeeva, on charges of graffiti vandalism, assault and disorderly conduct.
“… it’s not just the attack that is alarming but also the attacker’s response when police located her,” Created Equal said in a statement. “She admits to premeditating the crime and that she was fully aware it was wrong. The assailant even laughs about a student encouraging her and how she doesn’t care how her victims felt.”

“F— you, they’re triggering, they hurt people,” Timofeeva can be heard saying of the pro-life signage, before beginning to spray paint one of the signs.
“Ma’am, don’t do this,” reacted a Created Equal member while attempting to stop the vandal from defacing his sign.
“F— you, and your stupid signs,” responded Timofeeva.
“Stop,” said the pro-life activist, appearing to try to take the spray paint can from the vandal.
“F— you and your stupid message,” said Timofeeva, who then appeared to shove the pro-life activist.
“You just pushed me. You’re assaulting me. Stop.”
“You just tried to grab my f—— spray paint. You going to tell the police that?”
“Because you’re spray painting our property. Yeah, I’m going to tell [the police].”
“I don’t give a s—,” said Timofeeva.

The video also includes scenes from her interview with police. According to the video, Timofeeva admits that the vandalism was premeditated.
After seeing the pro-life group, “I grabbed the paint and I drove back there,” Timofeeva said in the video.
“So — you premeditated, ‘I’m going to get the spray can, I’m going to leave, go get it, and then come back.’ And you intentionally sprayed their signs to damage them?” the police officer replied. “You did that, knowing that you shouldn’t do that?”
“Yeah, pretty much. Like, three girls walked by and they said that I’m a hero,” Timofeeva said.
Created Equal said its staff and volunteers regularly face threats of violence, vandalism and physical assault, but they have seen an increase in the attacks in the past several months.
“Pro-abortion activists who commit violence must be held accountable,” said Mark Harrington, president and founder of Created Equal. “And thanks to the law enforcement in the video, that is exactly what is happening. We refuse to back down in the face of these threats. The escalation of pro-abortion violence has forced us to take additional security measures to protect our team.”
Their group is not alone. Earlier this week, makers of the pro-life film “Unplanned” said Canadian theaters have received death threats just because they plan to show the film. One theater canceled its showing out of fears for their employees’ safety.
